Responsibility that counts – environmental protection matters to us

Karl Kaldenberg is a sustainable company. As a metal foundry with a tradition of more than 90 years, we know that our production processes require a great deal of energy and resources. That is precisely why we see it as our responsibility to combine economic activity with ecological responsibility. This is reflected across several areas of our production.

In-house energy supply
Since 2021, we have generated our own electricity: the photovoltaic system on our roof delivers up to 99.75 kWp, covering around one twelfth of our annual energy needs.

Paperless office
Documents such as quotes and invoices are captured, processed, stored, and archived entirely digitally.

Recycling and packaging
A high recycling rate and optimized returnable packaging management reduce our packaging waste.

Short transport routes
Because our products are further processed by locally based companies, transport routes are short – which benefits our carbon footprint.

Thinking sustainably – refurbishing machines instead of buying new

In our production, we operate a total of 5 low-pressure gravity die casting machines, which are continuously modernized. We carried out the most recent modernization in May 2026 on our Kurtz permanent mold casting machine and the MBS permanent mold casting machine (type KM4). This work was carried out primarily by NEMETecH.
